Terms of Service

These terms describe the rules for using Groupora, including accounts, Shops, user content, groups, Channels, child safety, moderation, and account access.

Last updated October 2, 2026

This document is general information about Groupora’s current app rules, not legal advice. Have a qualified lawyer review it for your circumstances and applicable law.

1. Operator and acceptance

Groupora is independently developed and operated by Abdul Latif, an individual developer based in Pakistan. It is not operated under a registered company or separate legal entity. The app presents these Terms and the Privacy Policy for affirmative acceptance in supported account flows. By accepting and continuing to use Groupora, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the service.

2. Eligibility and your account

Groupora is not directed to children under 13. Do not create an account or use Groupora if you are under 13. You must provide accurate information, keep sign-in credentials and devices secure, and take responsibility for activity performed through your account. Email/password, Google, and Facebook sign-in are available where configured. You must not impersonate another person or use account information that is unlawful, deceptive, abusive, or intended to evade moderation.

3. Profiles, follows, and messaging

You may follow users and Channels. A Friend connection is derived when two users follow each other. Follow records do not give permission to access private content. Direct messages are controlled by current relationships and messaging permissions; group chats are available to authorized members. Messages may include text, replies, reactions, image/video attachments, voice messages, location links, and stickers. Delivery and read receipts may show message timing and recipient identity to authorized participants. “Clear Chat for Me” hides shared history for you but does not delete it for other participants.

4. Groups and invitations

Users may create or join groups through invite codes, links, or available join flows. Owners and administrators control available roles, join approval, message approval, member sharing, posting access, and restrictions. Do not share an invite link or add members without permission. Discover visibility or approved promotion does not make private group conversations public. Group deletion may remove server data and cannot be reversed once completed.

5. Channels and Channel posts

Channels are separate from groups. A Channel owner may publish text, image, video, location, or sticker posts. Signed-in users who are not blocked may view eligible Channel content and may follow Channels through Discover. Channel owners control publishing but do not receive global administrator powers. Global administrators may manage reports and delete Channels through authorized server processes. Group promotion and Channel following are separate features; these terms do not promise paid Channel promotion.

6. Shops and Buy Requests

Shop listings may show seller-provided product descriptions, images, prices, and availability. A Buy Request is a request sent to a seller in a conversation; it is not an accepted order or completed purchase. The current app does not provide in-app checkout or payment processing. Groupora does not guarantee that a listing is accurate, still available, or fulfilled. If you and a seller arrange a sale, you are responsible for confirming the terms, payment, delivery, returns, and applicable legal obligations with each other.

7. Stories and user content

You retain rights you have in content you create. To operate Groupora, you grant permission to store, process, display, transmit, and technically back up that content for the people, groups, Channels, and features you choose, including delivering messages, media, stickers, notifications, reactions, receipts, views, and Stories. You must have the rights and permissions needed to share every image, video, audio file, sticker, message, location, or link. Other users may retain received or downloaded copies after you delete the source.

8. Coins, Diamonds, referrals, and promotions

Coins are virtual in-app credits with no cash or real-world monetary value in Groupora. They cannot be sold, transferred, withdrawn, or exchanged for money in Groupora. The current app includes daily check-in rewards, referral rewards subject to displayed eligibility and anti-abuse checks, and approved group-promotion requests. Coins spent on a promotion request are not refundable if it is rejected, removed, expires, or violates these terms. Coins and reward records may be adjusted, disabled, or removed for abuse, error, account deletion, or service changes; they are not a purchase, deposit, investment, or guaranteed entitlement. Diamonds are separate from Coins; the current app supports user-to-user Diamond transfers and Channel Gifts, but provides no in-app cash purchase, redemption, withdrawal, or creator-payout flow. Any arrangement outside the app is not an in-app feature or promise under these terms.

9. User responsibilities and prohibited conduct

You must not use Groupora to post or share illegal, abusive, threatening, hateful, discriminatory, sexually exploitative, excessively violent, fraudulent, misleading, privacy-invasive, infringing, or harmful content. Sexual exploitation or abuse of a minor, grooming, sexual solicitation of minors, and child sexual abuse material (CSAM) are strictly prohibited. You must not create, request, possess, upload, share, link to, or facilitate CSAM. You must not bypass access controls, interfere with the service, collect other users’ information without permission, access private group or message content, or misuse referral, Coin, Diamond, group, Channel, notification, or moderation systems.

10. Child safety standards and contact

Groupora is not directed to children under 13; do not create an account or use it if you are under 13. Abdul Latif, Groupora’s individual developer and operator in Pakistan, is the child-safety contact at support@groupora.app. Use an in-app report control where available or email this address to report suspected child sexual exploitation or abuse; do not attach or forward suspected CSAM. The operator will review child-safety reports, take appropriate action on confirmed violations, and make reports to appropriate authorities where required by applicable law.

11. Blocking, reporting, and moderation

You may block users where the app provides that control. Users may submit in-app reports on eligible users, groups, Channels, or posts where a report control is shown, or contact support. Global administrators manage submitted reports through the Admin Panel and may moderate available group content, apply restrictions, block accounts, remove content, manage promotions, and delete Channels through authorized tools. Reports may be retained for safety, moderation, and legal purposes. Reporting does not guarantee removal, and Groupora does not promise comprehensive automated or human review of every post or message.

12. Intellectual property complaints

Do not upload or share content that infringes another person’s copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights. If you believe content on Groupora infringes your rights, send the relevant details and content location to support@groupora.app. The operator may restrict, remove, or preserve disputed content while reviewing a complaint, subject to applicable law.

13. Account restrictions and deletion

The operator may restrict features, remove content, suspend, or terminate an account when it reasonably believes these terms, safety requirements, access controls, or applicable law have been violated, or when needed to protect users and the service. In-app deletion requires recent password verification for the current email/password flow, is scheduled 30 days ahead, and may be cancelled during that recovery period by signing in and verifying your password. Cleanup removes the Firebase Auth account, user profile tree, many follow, membership, block, request, report, and message references, owned Group trees, and user-owned Story, custom-sticker, and shared-media files. The current process does not remove every related record or file: Channel follows, Channel posts and media, Channel moderation reports, referral-abuse risk and audit records, separate Diamond account/operation/ledger records, and some Group files outside user-specific media paths may remain; several have no general automatic expiry. Other users’ copies, device caches, and backups may also remain. Direct and group conversation auto-delete settings range from 24 hours to 1 year or Off, with a 90-day default; eligible Group messages and posts are also subject to an independent 20-day retention limit. Group media cleanup is limited to safely validated paths, and chat auto-delete does not guarantee removal of every uploaded file. For an external request, visit groupora.app/delete-account or email support@groupora.app. The operator may ask you to verify account ownership before acting. Server cleanup may complete after the scheduled time.

14. Service availability and third-party services

Groupora is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, permanent storage, delivery of every message or notification, preservation of cached content, or continued access to any group, Channel, reward, or feature. Firebase, API/server checks, and database/storage rules are authoritative. Groupora relies on third-party services described in the Privacy Policy, which have their own terms and availability.

15. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Groupora and its operator are not liable for losses arising from use of the service, content posted by other users, service interruptions, deleted or expired content, or virtual balances affected by rejected, removed, or rule-violating activity. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or limits rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

16. Changes to these terms

App features and these terms may change as Groupora evolves. We will post an updated version here and in the app with a new effective date. Continued use after an update means you accept the changes to the extent permitted by law. If a change requires renewed consent, Groupora will request it through the available app flow.

Read the Privacy Policy.
